If you have roughly learned something about LEGO, you will have known its co-creation online community, LEGO IDEAS. You can participate in the journeys of successful products from idea to development. First you submit your proposal for a new LEGO set, and then gather support from the community until you get 10,000 supporters. Your set will qualify for a review by LEGO. If successful, your idea becomes a real LEGO set that any fan can purchase around the world.

The Room, a popular video game, first released on mobile devices in 2012, and then on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC and Oculus Quest, guns for the LEGO treatment lately. This time it’s the gigantic safe that serves as the very first level of the originalThe Room game.

The Room is also one of Woody’s favorite puzzle games. Looking back on the days when it was released, I spent the whole night clearing the levels. It feasted my eyes on the exquisite safe boxes, and I was dreaming of getting one of these magic boxes.

Now that The Room project is officially live, there’s roughly 14 months to reach the 10,000 supporters goal which will trigger the project being sent to the actual LEGO employees who have the power to make the set a reality. With more than 300 supporters in less than a week of being live, it’s already off to a great start. So if you like LEGO and you like The Room, it’s pretty much a no brainer to go show your support at the LEGO Ideas website.

The Room is a very tactile game with buttons to push and secret compartments to find and it would be amazing to have a tangible piece of the game which you can not only hold in your hand, but also features some of the features from the actual game. Like LEGO,The Room has a universal appeal all over the world, from children to grandparents and I like to think many of them would be delighted to build this set.

The designer also built a mysterious character known as A.S. in minifigure form, who comes complete with suitably Victorian accessories.

You can see even more pictures of this set over at the LEGO Ideas page for it, and that’s also where you can help bring this idea to life by showing your support by literally clicking the big blue SUPPORT button in the upper right corner.
