If you have ever used an iPod music player with a click wheel, you may remember the “music quiz” game that comes with it. Now this little game has appeared in iOS 14, and Apple has resurrected this little game-Music Quiz through shortcut commands.
On the old iPod, the Music Quiz mini-game will randomly play some songs and provide five different options for users to choose the correct answer. This small game running through shortcut commands on iOS 14 is also very similar. It will also randomly play music from the Apple Music library and give 5 different options for users to choose.
If you have upgraded to iOS 14, you can now open the “Shortcut Instructions” to play the “Listen to the song and guess the song name” game:
1. Open the “Shortcut Instructions” app
2. Scroll down in the “My Shortcuts” section, you can see the “Getting Started Shortcuts” folder, Music Quiz is in it
3. If you have set a lot of “shortcut instructions”, you can also directly search for “Music Quiz” in the search bar for easy searching
4. Click the “Music Quiz” shortcut command to start playing the game.
First, Music Quiz needs to obtain permission to access the Apple Music library. It should be noted that Music Quiz can only select music from Apple’s native Apple Music library.
The game has five rounds, each displaying five possible answers to the song you're listening to including song titles, artists and album covers. You can share your results to social platforms after the five rounds. Currently it doesn’t support sharing to Wechat, though.
In addition to Music Quiz, in the “Shortcut Instructions” of iOS 14, Apple provides users with the “Getting Started Shortcut Instructions” folder. There are currently 4 Getting Started shortcuts, and Music Quiz is one of them.
-Test Last Image: Send the latest photo in the album via SMS;
-Shazam Shortcut: listen to music through Shazam;
-Make QR Code: help you make a QR code that supports different functions;
-Music Quiz: Listen to the song and guess the name of the song;
It is worth mentioning that, although this is only a small game, this game is realized entirely through “shortcut instructions”, which just illustrates the powerful expansibility of this application.
