Does it still get you when you see the words “Game of Thrones”? Once it was such an excellent series that I used to stay up late to binge-watch, and after 8 years’ expectation I found the final season sucked.
Let’s not go any further into this weak-ending show, shall we? There’s a new mobile game with the same name now. Devolver Digital has released Game of Thromes: Tale of Croes, a new chill strategy game based on the TV show and book series.
The game focuses on the Night’s Watch, the ancient order tasked with securing the Wall and defending the border of Westeros against the perils of the North, and all that lies beyond.
The game takes place eight thousand years before Jon Snow took the Black. You guide the decisions of Lord Commanders throughout the seasons and plan expeditions beyond the Wall. As you give out commands, ravels travel in real-time to visit the expeditions. They will send notifications with reports about these travels, and you can choose to act now or when they have time available.
Since it’s an idle game, the in-game clock moves in real-time and doesn't stop when you close the app, meaning expeditions you order will continue while you're offline. Expeditions take place from Castle Black beyond the Wall and far into the Northern region. Within the expeditions, you will uncover dangerous obstacles, meet old and new enemies, and make new allies to help in the future. You can turn on notifications that alert you when something happens, or wait to find out when you open the game again.
You will run through northern scenery like aurora and blizzard. Ready to write your own story of Night’s Watch?
Devolver Digital published Reigns: Game of Thrones in 2018, and gained a 4.8/5 in App Store. Unlike Game of Thrones: Tale of Crows, it is a 2D card strategy game.
