Coriander is a some-love-some-hate ingredient. For lovers, its unique scent turns their head; for haters, they eliminate every piece they see even if it’s just put on dishes as embellishment. So what about you? Can you accept the special Coriander Perfume?
There are many business firms that have extracted and purified fragrance from some vegetables or foods like oolong leaf or blood orange, and made it into perfume, but few of them have ever considered coriander because how people view it is so polarized. While recently, LOEWE has made a daring attempt to launch a new type of home fragrance with coriander essence.
LOEWE’s new line of home fragrances is inspired by the vegetable garden at creative director Jonathan Anderson’s London home. The collection features candles, rattan diffusers, soaps and room sprays in 11 plant-inspired scents, including tomato leaves, cypress balls, pea, coriander, and cannabis, committed to creating a home atmosphere full of plant flavor.
Coriander’s scientific name is coriandrum sativum. When used as a perfume, it smells different from that while used in cooking, which is more acceptable. Lots of brands such as Jo Malone, TF and Hermes produce perfumes with coriander used in perfumery.
LOEWE’s first scented candle has attracted a lot of attention with four options including honeysuckle, beetroot, tomato leaves and cannabis. This time they are challenging people’s “taste” limits once again.
Their initial and final purpose are to offer the original atmosphere of a vegetable garden. If you are really curious about how they smell, they are all available now in LOEWE’s official website.
