Should Switch newbies buy the first Rise of Monster Hunter card?

Mar 18,2021

The Switch is only two weeks away from release, and if nothing happens, it should be three days early as usual. This article only represents the author's personal preferences and views; different views welcome friendly discussion. Part of the data collation will inevitably appear omissions; if there are mistakes, I also hope the comment area pointed out.

First said the conclusion: it is recommended to download the trial, feel like the game temperament, and then start with a cassette, play for 20 hours if it is not fun to experience, that tiny yellow fish to sell it.

These are the four cards that have dominated my entire 3DS career. While you can download the demo and play it first, I don't think the demo represents the game as a whole. Because the demo is just fighting monsters, that's only part of the game's fun. Building equipment, outfitting, the sense of accomplishment of battle from the bottom to the top, and many other aspects of the game that you won't be able to experience until you've played the full version and for a long time.

I think 20 hours is a reasonable amount of time to play. Suppose you're not interested in the graphics, the systems, etc., and you don't have a lot of motivation to keep playing. In that case, it's perfectly reasonable to abandon the game because no game will appeal to everyone.

This is a little bit of a pity because it's only 540P in console mode.

Some of the entry barriers in MH are easier, and some are harder than they were in the PSP / 3DS era.

It's hard to use now because there are two more ZLZR buttons than there were in the PSP era, and there are more actions come with them. Also, the moves have evolved over the years, not to mention novices; it is an old hunter like me because the MHW did not play the reason, directly jump from 3DS to Rise trial version, really a little bit not adapt to, it took a few hours to adjust. I had to spend dozens of hours learning new features from three or five previously mastered weapons. Not to mention novice players, the threshold for acquiring any weapon is far higher than in the PSP era.

It's easy to get started because since Monster Hunter: World, the game has simplified Many previously anti-human operations, such as picking things up and mining, requiring the character to squat down, and then the player to press A slowly to do one by one. It's uncomfortable to do material tasks. It is optimized into the map screen to press A to pick up the material directly, and the experience is thousands of miles away. Similar improvements have also been made to drink medicine, eat food, show damage, etc. In short, it does not involve game balance, such as the action of sharpening knives. Everything that can be changed is changed for the player to make it more user-friendly.

In fact, including the integration of the large map itself is also a reflection of human nature - frequent changes in the area disrupted the pace of hunting, people have no sense of coherence. With integrated maps, players can focus more on how to play the monsters, the whole process is much smoother, and you can save a lot of valuable disk loading time. After the first 14 minutes of playing a game, you might spend 4 minutes reading a game.

When the Switch was first designed, Capcom required it to add 4G of memory.

There is also the local Chinese culture. In the past, you had to search for various wiki materials for things you didn't understand. At that time, the Internet was not as developed as it is now. You could surf the Internet on your mobile phone. To find out the critical data such as attributes and meat quality, I often go to the Internet cafe to take notes. Now, everything you tell the player is built into an encyclopedia of the game so that you can access it at any time.

Finally, when it comes to gameplay, I don't think we need to worry about that. Freak Hunt can easily play for 300 hours, and with the upcoming DLC, it can easily play for another 150 hours, which equals 450 hours for the first generation of games. This still calculates normal; the part has the time to have the energy friend 1000 hours also is not a few. However, I would like to remind you that if you want to play this work comfortably, you must buy the PRO handle, just like I bought the artificial limb for the hand's feel.
