In April 2010, Lei Jun and seven partners founded Xiaomi. Xiaomi has released hundreds of mobile phones in the past decade, making it the fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world; it has invested in dozens of ecological chain enterprises, such as Zmi, Smartmi and Tianmi; it has built the Mijia brand, and has brought amazing products at honest and accessible pricing points to Mi Home and the world.
Xiaomi officially held the 10th anniversary public speech on August 11, with the theme of “From 10 to Infinity”, and it was said to be Lei Jun’s 43th public speech in Xiaomi. Let’s take a look at the overview.
Mi 10 Ultra
Each of these can be the selling point of flagships in 2020: 120Hz TrueColor display, 120x Zoom, and 120W wired fast charging. Mi 10 Ultra gathers all of them.
Three types are available: Obsidian Black, Mercury Silver, and Transparent Edition. Supporting WiFi 6, Mi 10 Ultra is equipped with a 6.67 inches OLED capacitive touchscreen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 + up to 16GB LPDDR 5 RAM + up to 512GB UFS 3.1 Storage.
Mi 10 Ultra Transparent Edition was made in Xiaomi Smart Factory, so Lei Jun took this opportunity to announce the establishment of Xiaomi Smart Factory. It features 24-hour fully-automated operations, which allows millions of premium devices to be produced annually. It’s the testing laboratory for cutting-edge materials and technologies, and the manufacturing R&D test bed of Xiaomi.
Redmi K30 Ultra
The AMOLED 120Hz capacitive touchscreen (87.2% screen-to-body ratio) allows a smooth and HD quality; the Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ provides competitive performance; the Sony 64 MP main camera + 50mm telephoto macro camera bring a richer shooting experience; the stereo speakers create an immersive experience when you play games or watch movies.
Mi LUX Transparent TV
Mi TV Master Series is Xiaomi’s first attempt for premium TVs. The 55-inch OLED TV is much more advanced in image quality, sound quality and appearance than LCD ones, and it’s also the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV.
The Mi LUX Transparent TV has a 55-inch transparent OLED, 5.7mm ultra-thin display and a 93% coverage of DCI-P3. The display is capable of refreshing at 120Hz and also offers 120Hz MEMC motion interpolation. Xiaomi also claims an impressive 1ms pixel response time for a better user experience. In addition, there are also support for Dolby Atmos and a custom MediaTek 9650 chipset. The TV is powered by the quad-core Cortex-A73 CPU and Mali-G52 MC1 GPU. Due to its unique and impressive design, crowds of people have been showing great interest in it.
Ninebot Gokart Pro
Ninebot Gokart Pro Lamborghini Edition has been nicknamed as “young people’s first Lamborghini” because it bears the iconic yellow colour of Lamborghini and comes with a design that creates a truly hyper-car feel. With a speed up to 40 km/h, each go-kart is set to come with its own chassis number plate. The kart is equipped with race tyres and powered by a Xiaomi balancing scooter which can also be of use alone after dismantling.
Only those aged 14 and above can drive this kart, and juveniles are suggested to wear protective gear and drive under supervision. Ninebot Gokart Pro is not permitted on public roads as well.
At the end of the launch event, Lei Jun announced three guiding rules that Xiaomi would always stick to: “Technology is our foundation; honest prices are our mission; products are our passion.”
